Questions
About Marrow, Core and Company Brain.
Marrow
- How do we get started?
- Email hello@marrow.id. We set up Company Brain with your team and give developers access to Core.
- What is a knowledge core?
- Everything your company’s AI relies on, kept in one place: your source material, the decisions and corrections drawn from it, and your approved procedures. It belongs to your company, which chooses where it is hosted and which assistants may use it.
- Does Marrow train AI models on our data?
- No. Your data, conversations and learned procedures stay within your organisation. We do not train models on them, we require our model providers not to, and nothing is shared across customer deployments.
- Where does our data go?
- It stays where your compliance requires: hosted by Marrow, in your own cloud or on-premises. It reaches only the people, assistants and agents you connect, within each person’s permissions, and the model providers named in your agreement.
- Can we export our data?
- Yes, at any time. You can export every source document, extracted statement, procedure and execution record in a documented format.
- Who can access what?
- Everyone keeps the permissions they have in your tools today, and an agent working for someone gets exactly that person’s permissions.
Company Brain
- We already use ChatGPT Enterprise or Copilot. What does this add?
- It works alongside them. Company Brain speaks up in the channels and meetings where you enable it when a decision contradicts a plan elsewhere, and carries out tasks across your tools with sign-off before anything is sent. ChatGPT and Copilot can connect to it too, so every assistant answers from the same sourced company knowledge.
- Can we change AI assistants later?
- Yes. Your company’s knowledge stays where it is hosted. You can add or replace any model or assistant, Company Brain included, and keep your knowledge, its sources and your approved procedures.
- Which tools does it work with?
- It connects to Slack, Microsoft Teams and Zoom; assistants including ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and Gemini; and sources including Gmail, Outlook, Google Drive, SharePoint, Notion, Jira, Linear and Shopify. Your own systems connect through the API.
- When does Company Brain join a conversation?
- Only in the channels and meetings where it’s enabled. Administrators can pause it at any time.
- What does it do without approval?
- It answers questions and drafts work. Sending a message or updating a record requires approval.
- Can we review what it learns?
- Yes. Proposed updates cite their sources and apply only once someone approves them. An approved change can be undone at any time.
- Does a correction apply everywhere?
- No. Corrections keep their scope: an exception for one market doesn’t become policy everywhere.
- Can we see what an agent accessed?
- Yes. Every request is logged, and every read leaves a record of what Core delivered, what it left out and who received it. Administrators review both in the Marrow console.
Core
- How is Core different from search?
- Search finds documents; Core maintains state. Instead of a list of links to read, an agent gets the facts its task needs, each with its source and date, and a flag wherever sources conflict or evidence is missing.
- What happens when information changes?
- Nothing is overwritten. Core records each change with its date and source, and the earlier value stays on record.
- What happens when a source is deleted?
- Deletion cascades. When you remove a document or disconnect a source, Core deletes it and everything that depended only on it, including facts, summaries and learned steps.
